An End

How many days away
are our last moments together

When we feel each other
for the last time

Will we continue
to control the weather
will we fight
each other

move on and fight
for each other

A life
fingerprint etched into my soul
A love
etched into my eyes
I can't forget the time

All the tests
the anger
and the lies

I know all the layers that we shed
all the good
the bad
the thoughts swirling in our heads

Tomorrow you'll walk away
tomorrow you'll fade away

And I'll be wondering if
you will be ok

How many days away
is our last moment together
how many days away
is our last moment spent together

When we feel each other's skin
for the last time
the last warm embrace
our bodies pressed as one

Will we laugh
or will we cry
